What is Promotional Products Distributor?

Promotional product distributors are individuals or companies that place orders on behalf of clients to place the client’s logo on product which are to be given away without charge. Most distributors are members of a promotional product association, such as:

  • Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI)
  • Promotional Products Association International (PPAI)
  • Upper Midwest Association of Promotional Products (UMAPP)


    How to place an order with YMlabs

    It’s easy ordering from YMlabs. Just send us a purchase order and art, and we will do the rest with regular communications by email. You have total control on the art, and when the order proceeds, and there is no worry of your order being processed without your approval. An ideal PO will have the following:

  • Purchase Order ID – Any sequence of numbers and/or letters that identify the order in your system. (Our favorite system: 1, 2, 3, 4, etc)
  • Company ID – Name, address, phone number, email, etc
  • Expected Due Date – Important if there is an event
  • Expected shipping terms
  • YMlabs product ID
  • Product Description, example: Legacy Orange Flavored Lip Balm
  • Quantity
  • Expected Price
  • Expected Total PO Value
  • Special instructions – Examples: bagging or special packaging, additional drop ships, colored caps

    Remember: Always attached the art in the email with the PO!

    Does YMlabs have art services?

    In most cases YMlabs processes your native art without charge. We will place the art in the indicated template, and can make minor edits, such as adding text. If there are extensive changes, or if the art doesn’t “work,” we generally ask you to reach out to your client for improved art.
